On the day that the country celebrates Labor Day, Miami Dade county Mayor Daniella Levin Cava joined the CWA picket line in Miami. In a show of support for CWA members who have been on strike for 17 days against At&t for Unfair Labor Practices. As the Telecom Giant continues to delay and stale the negotiation process, CWA union members made their way to the picket line on Labor Day. They came to celebrate and show a sign of Unity and Solidarity on the National Day of honoring the contributions made by American workers. State Rep. Vicki Lopez District 113 came and showed support for the strikers at At&t Miami Headquarters building at 600 NW 79th Ave. Candidate for U.S. Congress Phil Ehr also came to “support the troops” on the front line. “This is a show unity and support from our political and legislative leaders, we hope that this will pressure At&t to come to the table with some real bargaining authority and end the strike.” stated Johnny Motisi President Local.
