On August 21, 2019, a small local in Hialeah of less then 400 members, unilaterally decided to go on a ULP protest ( Short Duration Strike). That shot was heard round the country, as we and sister Locals 3122, and 3120 also walked their members out. It restored the faith of the old guard and inspired younger members that we are a force to be reckoned with. Now, it is our highest aspiration to bargain peacefully and come to a mutually beneficial agreement that benefits all involved. But as any organization, business, military or otherwise, you must be in shape, both mentally and financially. Failing to prepare is a recipe for disaster. We have prepared as the local has trained over 40% of its members for this mobilization effort. Be vigilant and stay focused for an inevitable work stoppage is the purpose of our Mobilization effort. To keep our Members ready for a potential Strike.Keep at it, keep our Mobilization intense and frequent, be steadfast and we will obtain our objective, a fair and equable contract for all.
